Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. This combination medicine can be used in the prophylaxis of surgery associated bacterial infections such as gastrointestinal tract, pelvic cavity, head and neck, biliary tract surgery. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended while you are taking this medicine ________________________________________ WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE AMITECT POWDER FOR INJECTION? If you miss a dose of Amitect 1.2gm Injection, get the injection as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
